Mmmmm. DOGGY DOG. DOG DISH. DOG DIG. The ELEMENTS were at work this night: OXYGEN, TIDES, FIRE. The characteristics of the elements matched the characteristics of the bands. Fire Moose – aggressive, fast yet elegant. Trip Tides – flowing, crashing and dynamic. Foxygen – airy, smooth and essential. Or something like that. The beautiful atmosphere that is Russian Recording sounded O, so fine, like playing inside of a well crafted recording room. The fine folks over there record the live set and within minutes post-show one has a physical CD in the hand. It was a pretty rad opportunity to play with Foxygen, especially for how early it is in their career. Their hype says they are going places and their live show was definitely one worth watching. Their (main?) vocalist utilized some very rad effects from a metal red contraption. And, as always it is a pleasure to be on the same bill as Trip Tides.  There was a well rounded crowd, although not as rowdy as I had hoped. Should’ve been a group shot of finely crafted liquor by the crowd before the festivities began perhaps. All in all we are all in all. Tis great to be on a bill with a jagjaguwar band and such and such. Kora (fire moose guitarist) received sum bloody knuckles and a bruised up face, from a volunteer punch in the face sort of game from Mr. Meese. drunk kids. weird kids. cats. dogs. Thanks to all those who came out early enough to catch Fire Moose and Dog Dish bash some rocks. much love. kroodz. – FIRE MOOSEphoto-2
